Rights for Patients
01Right to receive medical treatment
The patient has the right to receive proper health and medical care to protect and increase the health, and right of health is not invaded by gender, age, religion, position or economic status, and medical personnel cannot refuse the treatment without proper reasons.
02Right to know and decide
The patient has the right to receive adequate explanation about the status of disease, treatment method, medical research subject, organ transplant, expected results like side effects and charge and to ask questions. Also has the right to decide consent.
03Right for confidentiality
The patient is not invaded in physical, mental secrets relevant to the treatment, and the medical personnel and institutes are not allowed to leak or present secrets without patient’s agreement or legal reasons.
04Right to apply for counsel, adjustment
The patient can apply for counsel, adjustment to Medical Dispute Mediation in case of Medical Dispute occurrence.
Patient’s Obligation
01Obligation of Trust and respect for medical personnel
The patient should inform the medical personnel about the health related issues, and trust, respect the treatment plan of the medical personnel.
02Obligation of refusing dishonest measures
The patient should identify himself before the treatment, and should not receive medical care in false or dishonest ways like receiving treatments in other people’s name.
